Jed Berk is a Los Angeles artist, maker, illustrator and entrepreneur.

20 years ago, around the time I moved to Los Angeles to teach for one year at USC’s School of Cinematic Arts, one of his professor’s over at Art Center College of Design (Peter Lunenfeld, now at UCLA) reached out to me to mentor Jed around his thesis project.

We’ve collaborated and been good friends ever since, traveling around the world with projects we’ve worked together on. (Fond memories come to mind of getting autonomous blimps off the 3 story ceiling of office building foyers in downtown Seoul, South Korea.)

Jed just got back from Hong Kong where he took a flock of sheep to a Bitcoin conference.

He’s going to explain all of that this Friday in Office Hours starting at 0900 (UTC-7 “California Time”).
